GenderIT.org @ the Commission on the Status of Women 2011, New York

From 22 February to 4 March 2011, the GenderIT.org team took part in the 55th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York. The CSW is a global policy-making body of the United Nations dedicated to gender equality and the advancement of women. This year's session looked at science and technology from the perspective of women's access to education and employment.

From 22 February to 4 March 2010, GenderIT.org holds live coverage of the 55th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York. The CSW is a global policy-making body of the United Nations dedicated to gender equality and the advancement of women. The theme for this year's session is gender, education, science and technology, including the promotion of women's equal access to employment.

Special CSW edition: Can technology transform women's reality?

The 55th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will be held in New York from 22nd February to 4 March 2011. The theme for this year's session is "Access and participation of women and girls in education, training, science and technology, including for the promotion of women's equal access to full employment and decent work". This GenderIT.org's special CSW edition brings together some of the work that the Association for Progressive Communications is doing on these issues.
