From 22 February to 4 March 2010, GenderIT.org holds live coverage of the 55th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York. The CSW is a global policy-making body of the United Nations dedicated to gender equality and the advancement of women. The theme for this year's session is gender, education, science and technology, including the promotion of women's equal access to employment.
Read our 'Special CSW edition: Can technology transform women's reality?' and get the latest recommendations on science and technology from the experiences of woman and girls on the ground. Join our conversations in the GenderIT.org's Feminist Talk section or follow us on Twitter using the hashtag #csw #genderit. Take part in a panel discussion 'Take Back the Tech!: Reclaiming Technology for Women's Rights' organised by our home organization, the APC Women's Networking Support Programme.
