The module explores the symbiotic relationship between the Internet and the international sex industry, the laws and regulations relating to it, and the ways how groups and communities have been using technology to combat trafficking and explore options for and objections to regulating the Web's content.

This paper seeks to recommend a policy framework that will address the goal of mobilising ICT to advance gender equality and women's empowerment.

The paper compares national policy in a range of issues including universal access, e-governance, trafficking of women, pornography, censoreship, cybercrime and ICTs as a public good.
