Lillian Achom
Lillian Achom believes that an ICT-empowered society is an opportunity for employment, wealth creation and therefore economic growth and better livelihoods. This is her 14th year in community outreach programs. So far, Lillian’s favorite is teaching women and girls in rural communities the benefits of internet & how to use smart phones and, mentoring young girls to take up careers in ICT. With over 10 years of experience in the Information Communications Technology space, Lillian has experience in virtual project management, partnership building, strategic implementation, team work and consultation work. She has implemented both individual and multiple projects, locally and internationally. Lillian holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information System.

Access to the internet and ICTs can often be about creating and finding surprising opportunities and uses. If women are familiar with smartphones and able to use them, then this is one way of ensuring that the next generation of girls are also able to access and adopt technology.
