World Pulse, the authority on all things woman, has recently launched an action blogging campaign to promote universal access to the internet.

First off, World Pulse: I forgive you for stealing our idea. We can talk about royalties later.

Now that that's out of the way, welcome to the good fight!

The new campaign focuses on issues of access for women, who are often excluded from the potential of ICTs for social inclusion. It calls on women in diverse contexts to blog about their personal experiences and to suggest "innovative ways women everywhere are utilizing the Internet to accelerate change in their personal lives, communities, and globally."

ICTs offer marginalised women the tools with which to reach out to each other, especially in societies where women are sheltered and where traditional media is tightly controlled by conservative forces. This and other projects, like APC's Take back the tech! campaign, are important steps towards realizing the potential for liberation offered by ICTs.

Lastly, World Pulse, you forgot to put an exclamation point at the end of your slogan. That's a rookie mistake.
