Asian Women and Labor Migration: The Beijing +5 Review

This paper addresses a particular issue of women and migration under the critical area of women and the economy. Specifically, the paper aims to: 1) present an overview of the context and present situation of migrant women; 2) review the strategic actions in the Beijing Platform of Action (BPFA) that concerns women in migration 3) vis-a-vis above, review the responses of the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs); and 4) to recommend steps to more effectively address the issues underlying the issue of women and migration.
