Sharmila Joshi

Sharmila Joshi is an editor, writer, and occasional teacher based in Mumbai, India. She has written on issues of globalisation, gender, labour, and rural governance. Her articles as a journalist on development issues have, in the past, appeared in numerous national and international publications. In 2006-07, she wrote a chapter titled ‘Untangling the Web’ — one of the first to research the issue of gender and internet-mediated violence in India — that was eventually part of a book titled ‘Nine Degrees of Justice’ (New Delhi: Zubaan, 2010).
